Defragmenters - Batch / Command Line

I know that Windows takes care of Fragmentation on its own, but that is NOT what this thread is about.

I have a Batch Script that I wrote a few of years ago that cleans my computer. I always run it on a Friday and occasionally at other times when I feel the need to and it works great.

Part of the Script runs the Windows built-in Defragmenter on specific disks and partitions with my preferred switches and parameters which works great, but can take a while to run. This runs at the end of the Script after everything else has been cleaned etc for obvious reasons and just before the run of chkdsk %SystemDrive%.

Over the years, I have tried MANY defragmenters, all of which have basically the same principle and results, but with their own interpretation and variants.

I am thinking of maybe moving away from the Windows built-in Defragmenter and using something else. It MUST however, have the Batch / Command Line ability to run [ Open, Run, Close, etc ] and preferably be Portable.

I have investigated what is currently available . . .

My question is, does anyone use an alternative to the Windows built-in Defragmenter via Batch / Command Line, and if so, what is it and what do you think of it ?

    Thanks in advance.

WinContig looks interesting. Anyone used it or have any comments on it ?
