    First Win logo stuck. No lights on KB


    Hi,

    Shut the HP PC down last night all okay exceot over the last couple of days it has been a little slower but when I booted today, it at firts only came to HP logo but after rebooting it comes to the 1st Win logo but them stops. No lights to the KB althoughit is still on.

    Am doing a HP diag now, but wonbdered what else to do..

    exceot over the last couple of days it has been a little slower
    If diags pass, then remove/disconnect all drives bar your system disk, then try booting.

    If still no luck, prepare a live boot disk using another PC and see if your PC boots from that.

    Check all disks with 3rd party program (Crystal Diskinfo or the excellent Hard Disk Sentinel (SSDs too) ).

    Many thanks for that.

    I did the HP diag test and it said the SSD could not be tested, so i disconnected all, rebooted and after a while it booted into Win10.
    An Win update came down so took it and I am doing a Reflect Clone now in case it goes again.

    I have Crystal on all the time and it says all drives are fine. Win 10 primary drive is is a M.2 SSD.

    Maybe you've been lucky- just a dodgy connection.. or...

    Imaging is faster and better then cloning in that your backup disk used to save image files can hold images representing the partitions imaged at several different dates.

    (E.g. 1st full image, differential image1,2,3....n for n+1 dates).
