Strange cursor problem

What am I supposed to see? After more than an hour, the window is still open with no finish and apparently no activity.. If I exit, where does it save the diagnostics? And shouldn't the cmd window show the diagnostics as the script is running?

You will see the results output of the code.

When it says Press ANY key to Exit it has finished. Look at the results in the CMD Window and when finished just Press ANY key to Exit. The results are NOT saved ANYWHERE, they are viewable in the CMD Window.

I ran it again and it finished quickly. As you said, the results are in the window--but I'm not sure they're telling me anything. I copied and screen snipped the entire process. Perhaps you can see something that I'm not seeing. The images are hard to read unless you zoom in, but readable then.

I have just looked at the output for you.

- Have you got TWO USB Mice attached [ Wired / Wireless ] ?
- Are there ANY Yellow triangles in Device Manager ?

For information. Whenever you want to Copy & Paste the WHOLE output from the CMD Window . . .

Right-Click the CMD Window Title Bar > Edit > Select All
Right-Click the CMD Window Title Bar > Edit > Copy
In the post, click the # tag and Ctrl + V.

Ah! Thank you for the tip about copying the command window. I'd tried to just right click in the window and obviously that didn't work. I just tried it using the title bar and voilà!

I don't have two mice attached; however, I used to have a wired mouse that I no longer use and haven't used for over a year. There are NO yellow triangles. In the mouse driver section, though, two HD compliant mouse devices are listed as well as one PS2 compatible mouse. I've been puzzling over whether I should remove one of those, and if so, which one: the PS2?

That would also work if you wanted to Copy the output to a Text Editor for example.

The PS2 would be the Mouse attached via a USB.

Are you using the Touchpad or PS2 Mouse ?

You could try updating the Mice and Other Pointing Devices Driver via Device Manager to see if that helps !



OR, check the manufacturers website for updated Drivers.

via USB means the cordless mouse? Already checked for updates. None listed.

My cursor started jumping all over the place a few weeks ago. I found out I had the trackpad enabled at the same time as my mouse. Once I disabled the trackpad the problem stopped.

I wish it were that easy. I changed the settings for the touchpad when I got the computer, because I don't like touchpads. The touchpad is off when the mouse is plugged in. Good thought, though.
