A recycle bin setting doesn't seem to work
I'm trying to enable instant file deletion but all files and folders still end up in the bin. Does the change only take after the next login?

Hi, for me it is applied immediately.
Set Recycle Bin to Permanently Delete Files Immediately in Windows 10
Did you click Apply, then OK in the Properties dialogue?
I then get a confirmation prompt thus after hitting the delete key:
- as I do if I SHIFT delete (which deletes without moving the item to the Recycle bin.
There is an option to omit that in the Properties dialogue as you can see.
Comments after the tutorial may add something useful.
I must have. I checked again with the other computer and the setting just won't take, even after logout. SHIFT+Del works though.
Oh shit, I figured out why it doesn't seem to work
The properties setting is tied to the selected drive, in both cases I tried to instantly delete a file that was located on the wrong drive. Thread is therefore solved

Yes, it does. I didn't figure out in time what the drive list's purpose was.
