    Windows Perfomance Analyzer: slow logon - winlogon init


    Windows Version: Build 19045.2728

    Hi all

    I performed a boot measurement, and the following phase is slow: Winlogon init
    Windows Logon: Notification=Logon, Subscriber=Profiles, Duration=57s
    Generic Events: winlogon.exe

    While I have some assumptions, I am unable to fully interpret the complete event trace log. I did a stackwalk.

    Hi, @zinou is the forum expert with this tool. It may take some time before you hear anything, and all responses are, of course, entirely voluntary.

    You can find examples of its use in previous threads on tenforums.

    For anyone to help:
    a. Complete your PC specs, in particular the type and technology of your system drive.
    (Click My computers below my post for example: tutorial available in the tutorials section if needed).

    b. How long does your PC take from starting a cold boot to reach the lock screen?

    Some slow boot cases have been resolved (remarkably) simply by clearing an accumulation of temporary files.

    Do you have Fast Startup enabled? If you are using a SSD, try disabling it.

    History:
    - For how long have you been experiencing slow booting?
    - What is the best boot time to lock screen you have experienced, and when was that?
