Wmi constantly writes something causing high cpu

Hi. Wmi have been acting up. First i had it go to 26% back and forth and i pin pointed the service and disabled it and then it went to another service and did the same thing, so i disabled those to. All of those services were related to having a random nummber to it, that is related to a service without random number that has UserServiceFlags DWORD in registry that spawns the same service but with a random name in the end of it.

Wmi high usage was using those with random for some reason, but now i disabled all of them by using UserServiceFlags "0" instead of "3" disabling it from creating those random number ones, so now wmi does not hook to any of those anylonger and works by itself now causing 2.34% cpu usage every 1 sec. Is this normal? I cant remember it doing that. I did not see wmi jump in task manager to top place and then down 1 step every 1 sec because it was the one having the highest usage, around 2.34%.

This is what it's doing that causes this, what is this cleanupgroupmember thing? What is it doing?

1.Windows Management Instrument service. Right-click it and select Restart.

2-In the Command Prompt(adm) window, type in the following commands and press Enter after each command.

    net stop iphlpsvc
    net stop wscsvc
    net stop Winmgmt
    net start Winmgmt
    net start wscsvc
    net start iphlpsvc

    Restart PC.

net stop wscsvc access is denied It's because it's windows security, you just can't disable that just like that. Is there a particular reason to do these commands, is it related to the issue I brought up, or are you guessing it would work? I would like to know more specific instead of stopping services just in case to see if it helps (no ill intent meant). I mean, what is TPReleaseCleanupGroupMember? Because that is what makes the cpu go up. Thanks for helping me

Just standard procedure, in some cases, the problem is with WMI Provider Host Service occupying too much of your PC resources.
It is a part of a "fresh start".....did you restart the PC?

You may even shut the PC completely down too, and let it rest for a minute.
That is only healthy especially if it is long time since last time.

Its not a fresh install. I shut it off every night.

I had to go to the store to buy some food so I don't have to gnaw on the furniture tomorrow...

When I look at winmgmt at my PCs they are pretty close to zero, may 0.5% now and then.

This article and the description here make sense.
They describing how to identify the process that is making trouble, how the find the ClientProcessId of it..
How To Fix WMI Provider High CPU Usage

Pretty long, so I will not copy it. But it is simple explained.

Ill take a look at that, thanks! Do you know if in-place upgrade of windows will reset all services to default aswell as reset group policys and local security SECPOL to defaults? That would be a pain! Im thinking (besides worst case scenario aka fresh install) to do an in-place and that would most likely fix WMI?

Something else I experience, is that Windows update take almost forever to finish now because of wmi, and also deploying hardeningkitty in powershell whereas before hardeningkitty did it almost in a flash. So it's related to wmi. Do you think any hardening done by hardeningkitty would have done this? I have a hard time believing it has. Because hardeningkitty has been deplyed on my other OS and I have no issue there. Hmmm as far as I know, ill go and check. But yeah, I should first start off by going from the guide you sent me, lol

I used Tweaking.com Windows Repair and repaired WMI, and it seems to have fixed it!
