i tried every possible combination and only adding users or everyone in runtimebroker launch and activation permissions fixes dcom 10016 runtimebroker error, at least for my system, here's more complete guide Event ID 10016 - The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
but in this case instead of adding system you should add users to fix this particular chromium browser problem, it is same with latest opera and vivaldi builds or wait new windows update, maybe i will return to old 15063 RS 2 build, this new build has lots of desktop slowdowns and lags and that's on samsung 840 evo 250gb ssd which was working very fast in previous build

I'am also getting the 10016 for Chrome and Vivaldi too. But I don't use run time broker.

You may not but those app are calling it and do not get access. Hence the DCOM error(s).

I'm not using Chrome or any other browser but Edge and I also got the error back...it was gone, but returned after FCU (1709).

The only difference this time, is that the Local Activation permission is for user NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE [SID (S-1-5-19)] instead of the NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM [SID (S-1-5-18)] that was back in 1607.

    Nice going Microsoft!

Can someone make a code like back in the beginning of this thread for us simple minded old folks to use to fix this problem; really would be appreciated, thanks.

Are you all sure there is a problem which really needs fixing? The 'fix' may break something else unknown to you. I now leave these issues to MS.

This error appears when I try to remove file properties from .mkv files.
    It's been a bug in Windows 10 since 1511.

I can a least happily confirm that this error doesn't happen with Mozilla Firefox

i fix DCOM 10016 rantimebroker permission error but new FCU update performance wasn't perfect and i switched to old 1703 build which is working more than fine without any bugs, i will wait 1-2 updates and will try 1709 update again in few weeks time, maybe microsoft will fix dcom error and few more bugs by that time
