there's lots of DCOM 10016 runtimebroker errors in new Windows 10 FCU build:

it mainly appears after opening all the latest chromium browsers (opera, chrome, vivaldi) i think Unavailable SID is from Account Unknown(S-1-15-3-1024-1065365936-1281604716-3511738428-1654721687-432734479-3232135806-4053264122-3456934681) registry permision leftovers from deleted account defaultuser0 , it causes lags in long run and strange slowdowns, 15063 build was working more than fine before upgrading, error only disapears if you add everyone or users in activation and launch permissions

How many runtime brokers should there be in the dcom list, mine has 2; 1 version grayed out and other you can make changes to.

    Hi,

There have two instances of Runtime Broker for quite a while now.
The DCOM errors I had whilst upgrading to FCU all vanished after a few restarts.

    Cheers,

i also have two runtime broker since 15063 build, now i changed Launch and activation permission and see how system will behave in long run ,also system file in task manager makes heavy disk scanning sometimes around 3-4mb sec:

in 15063 i also had to make changes but i got only
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {D63B10C5-BB46-4990-A94F-E40B9D520160} and APPID {9CA88EE3-ACB7-47C8-AFC4-AB702511C276} to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.
error then and adding system was enough to fix DCOM errors, in 16299.15 FCU build there are tree kind of errors now, system, user name and local service, i also never got DCOM erros before during browser launch, opera 38 and 44 beta old builds working fine, but all the newer builds give DCOM errors after launch (vivaldi, google chrome, opera)

without adding Users in Launch and activation permission tab gives DCOM errors, after installing opera 49 beta build and adding users problem is fixed, i think it's microsoft fault and new update is necessary to fix this permission problem, i already tested on 15063 build and everything working fine without DCOM 10016 errors

because there's some registry permission errors in new build, every chromium based browser starting from 59 chromium build gets 10016 errors after every launch, i still use 38 opera because Direct write flag, so there's no errors, but on newer builds starting from 45 have this errors, i also fixed lags and slowdowns after deleting Account Unknown(S-1-15-3-1024-1065365936-1281604716-3511738428-1654721687-432734479-3232135806-4053264122-3456934681) permission SID from registry using this simple tool PowerRun v1.1 (Run with highest privileges) now i have only HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and HKEY_USERS unknown account sid leftovers, try to add users in local activation and launch permission using powerrun and there will be no more errors coming:

it also fixes other possible DCOM errors in new windows 10 16299.15 FCU build, old 15063 builds doesn't have such problem, in this case adding just system or administators in runtimebroker launch and activation permissions doesn't fix DCOM errors, it also fixes all the browser slowdowns and scrolling lags, now everything works very fast with KIS 2018, maybe microsoft will fix this strange DCOM errors in later cummulative updates, 17000 beta builds don't have this errors, maybe all the problems is coming from deleted Defauluser0 permission registry leftovers, if you use powerrun it doesn't need to replace runtimebroker registry permissions, just add %windir%\system32\comexp.msc and open component services from powerrun

Really with all the experts here no one has figured out how to remove this 10016 error from coming up when using chrome, real pain to continually delete log daily. Us old folks don't know to do this stuff. thanks
