    Hi,

Ok, but I wouldn't wait for MS to solve it. If I can help you resolve it then I'll gladly assist.

    Cheers,
    Hi,
I really do appreciate your help!!!

The reason for waiting MS is very simple...they fixed it in 1703...and being romantic I would like to think that they'll fix it again in a new update!

Besides, I fixed it before in my wife's 1607 installation, by running as 'Trusted Installer' the MS command line utility dcomperm.exe, which takes care of any Launch and Activation permissions issue.

    Thanks again man! :)

It is reported all over the net so it is a common problem and I have ran every fix I've found but it keeps returning. I just got tired of it and shut off the logs totally. My was caused every time I would run chrome.

    Hi csmdew,

Did you by any chance try the solution posted here?

As for the message I mention in this post, when trying to change the permissions, if you read the next couple of posts, @f14tomcat clicked on "Remove" and had no issues. Maybe its worth trying.

To be honest I don't use Chrome, so I wouldn't know what Chrome does to give you the error. In my installation I haven't been able to find if it's a program causing the problem or Windows 10 itself.

    Good luck!

Yea, changing permissions and all is no problem but as soon as I use chrome it shows up on every opening. If I use IE it's gone from the permission change. Someone else on net said they had it as well with another program but I don't remember what it was. Not happening with fox either, I heard.

As I said, I'm very sorry but I don't use Chrome and I have no idea, what to propose.

As long as the error does not affect your system's performance, I would agree with your choice to ignore the error and wait for the Microsoft "brains" to resolve it, in a future update!

    Hi drugo,

The RuntimeBroker (APPID : {9CA88EE3-ACB7-47C8-AFC4-AB702511C276}) problem is a persistent one. In my system, it went away with 1703 and returned with 1709.

Having searched a lot for the issue, I decided to leave it as is... waiting for the next update.
I would recommend the same, since MS seems to have problems with that and fixes come and go!
Hi Dimitri , i found a guide step by step ,don't know if i can link it here in this forum
but i'm thinging to leave it , even sometime i have a list of these errors in few errors
by the way to run cmd as trueinstaller ,there is command line i guess , can't believe powerrun it's the only tool to run a program with the trueinstaller permission
    thanks

    Hi,

No, it did not come back.

I have 7 installs on a variety of machines that are DCOM error free to confirm it.
If it were to be universal then we'd have far more users complaining about it but is not.

    Cheers,
and yes it's present even in w7
if they did not fix under w7 , i don't believe they will fix for w10

I hinted in my post 306 you are probably wasting your time and maybe causing more problems than you think you are solving. Just wait for MS to fix these 'errors' unless you have an obvious performance problem.

    Hi drugo :)

No, it's not only PowerRun. ExecTI is another tool I used and I'm sure there must be other tools too.

As SteveC said, if the error does not affect system's performance, maybe you could wait for a fix from Microsoft.

    Good day!

i fixed 1709 FCU 10016 runtimebroker error with this utility: PowerRun v1.1 (Run with highest privileges)

Windows 10 Event ID 10010 and 10016 Errors With DistributedCOM-untitled.png

adding just system doesn't help, it fixes opera, chrome, vivaldi launching error in event viewer, 1703 build doesn't have this error, 16299.64 update is running better for me, 16299.19 was laggy, i installed 387.92 driver, 388.12 has some stuttering issues in games with MSI afterburner monitoring tool
