    Type: Make a file type always open in a specific program in search and click the link.....

    Choose Associate a file type or protocol with a program.

    scroll down and click on the blue Choose default apps by file type
    Make your changes.
    Once you've chosen the new program to use to open that file type, choose OK

    If an attachment is not accessible in the E-Mail I save it to Downloads then use an associated program to open it. Do be careful, more and more infections are being included in downloads.
