    Hello @Anak,

As I was looking through the wealth of information I thought it'd be nice to have a clickable index like @Brink has in his tut's.
My Batch Scripts / Programs [ See Signature ] has an index, but PROJECT: Computer Report - Comprehensive is a different scenario all together.

It would involve adding HTML to the program but that would be a lot of added work, just a thought.
Yes, it would be a lot of added work which I am NOT prepared to do at present.

    Anak said:
Another thought. . . I could copy the results into my word processor and then do a search ...
Yes, that way, it will take you to all the different sections [ Output ] where the searched word is located. That would be useful because there could be additional information on a specific item elsewhere in the report that is NOT extracted from the specific main section command[s].

    I hope this helps.

If you have any cookie/ad blocking extension or similar for Vivaldi, it could cause this type of issue.

It works for me using LibreOffice/writer. Searched for Ram - Device Memory and it popped right up.

    Just to add,
I used landscape with expanded margins and 8.5x11 came to 237pgs. There is a paper size Ao that's 33x43 and that comes to 51pgs.

No matter what size the ASCII art is lost, it's there but jumbled.

But I can work with that. . .

    Some stats: . .

The objective of the program, which it achieves, is to extract and output the data in a report format to the Console, and then, if need be, Copy it to a Text Editor such as Notepad or Notepad++ [ BOTH searchable ] for example, BOTH which gives the correct formatting and output structure as shown in the Console.

Using something like MS Office Word or Open Office Writer will initially distort the output because of the way that the Page Settings are set for Column Width etc. This also has an affect on the colour transfer.

@das10 has come up with a possible workaround for this in his Post 61.

    Excellent news.

    I hope this helps.

EDIT:- I have added an entry in the Overview section of Post 1 for this.

Paul; this is just by way of gen. information only & not at all within the remit of the script file :

To get the formatting for viewing purpose "only", in Word, you would first need to set a custom page size which is wide enough to accomodate the width of the lines in the Console output (just under 180 columns). A Custom Page size of eg. 42cm x 54cm appears to work if you 'ignore' the Print margin error dialog. Then save the document as a .docx file.

Also, one of the few ways to copy colored text from a Console to a .Docx is via the Windows Terminal app., although it first requires customizing the Terminal app (and the bat file before running it in an Admin Terminal Command Window ie. so it does not start a separate Command Console).

eg: .docx using Word 2007 in Win 11.
