Tune-Up sounds to me like drive modification - something I do not do till it has been tried on a clone first. So I did it on a 5-day old clone I had ready. And I have the results for #.1 and #.2 The second part of #2 SEEMED to disable the browser, so I tried to close it, and could not. Then suddenly it sprang back to life [with a result ?], but promptly closed, so I lost it. I tried it again, but the phenomenon did not repeat, so if there is a result, I don't know how to access it. There is a problem with 'Post share links into this thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive.' as I have removed One Drive and do not use Drop Box or Google Drive [Drop Box is probably the preferable one]. I notice that there is a 'Manage Attachments' option which I have used. Hopefully I don't need to bother about #3 and #4.

What type of RAID is in use?
    CT480BX500SSD1 SCSI Disk Device

    For disk 2:
    KINGSTON SA400S37240G
    a) how come there is no recovery partition?
    b) how come there is no system reserved partition?

    First scannow:

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.

    Second scannow:

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

    When available

    a) post images of disk management (widen rows and columns so that characters are not cutoff)

How to Upload and Post Screenshots and Files at Ten Forums

    b) upload a link for the V2 log collector

I understand that raid saves to more than one drive; I do not want that, so have never deliberately 'installed' raid. So I can not answer "What type of RAID is in use?" First because do not know about what different types of raid there are; and secondly because I'm not aware that I have raid 'working'.

In another PC I've noticed a tendency to prioritise booting from a magnetic drive. Could that be causing my problem, because I do have a magnetic drive connected via SATA.

I have noticed mention of SCSI in other contexts; I do not use SCSI as I understand it; all my connections are SATA.
The CT480BX500SSD1 SCSI Disk Device is a storage SSD connected via SATA and is where I reroute my Downloads.

I have done scannows at various times and it always reports fixing corrupt files.

The Disk Management image has STATUS truncated for C:\ - I allowed that because all the truncated information is also shown again in the second reference to "Updater C:"

I do not understand "upload a link for the V2 log collector" - I've already explained that I use attachments rather than links; also 'V2 log collector' puzzles me.

Ten Forums has two log collectors: DM and V2.

The log files are used for troubleshooting.

Please run the V2 log collector script (see instructions to click extract all).
Once it has completed please upload results or post a share link into this thread.

I didn't at first see your question about missing partitions. I clone my system to three destinations every week and I have had reason to be glad that I do, on several occasions now. I formed the opinion when I started this procedure years ago, that the extra partitions were an obstacle to cloning, so I eliminated them. I have forgotten the details, so can not justify it NOW.

I did the 'tuneup' on a clone as I have explained; I did the V2 on the source of that clone.

There are some antivirus software that interfere with the run of the V2 log collector.

Please uninstall Avira and then rerun the V2 log collector.

RE: Type of RAID. Quick explanation, RAID 0 is striping, uses 2 or more drives to store data. RAID 1 is mirroring, second drive is copy of first. I have a NAS drive with 2 x 2TB drives using RAID 1, total usable capacity is 2TB. With RAID 0 if either drive fails all is lost, with RAID 1 if one drive fails the other is still usable. RAID stands for Redundant Array of Independent/Inexpensive Drives.
    What is RAID?
