I have never seen that and I do not trust it.
- It does not read like an MS dialog would so I think somebody else wrote it.
- I never see any suggestions to install Edge add-ons but perhaps there's a setting for that that you have enabled?
I suggest you close and restart Edge.

Probably Adware.
A simple Google search for
edge browser recommends to add power blocker
- text from the message you show =>
Power Blocker Adware - Easy removal steps
Note the poor grammar- very typical e.g. of Chinese users of English (but also many MS employees alas for whom English is presumably a second language):
recommends to add
No. recommends adding - or - recommends you add - are correct.
You can't have the infinitive after 'recommend'.
Question: what did you do to expose yourself to this?
just a normal search nothing different
Thank you for your reply. You have appropriate steps given above.
A search alone wouldn't result in adware on your system.
Most likely it's something less than desirable.
Popups like this occur on all browsers at one time or another.
As far as I know, all browsers automatically update without needing your assistance or approval.
Best to just ignore those popups when they occur.
Thank you ALL
Timmy,
If you ever get anything like that appearing again, don't click on anything in it. Anything in those dialogs might be malign, not just going ahead & installing it.
Just close Edge completely instead. And then you can re-open Edge & get on with what you were doing.
I mention this because I think you clicked on that Activate now button.
I suggest you run a Windows security [aka Windows defender] Quick scan just to make sure nothing hostile has been put on your computer.

There's no need to do a Full scan unless the Quick scan finds something hostile.
All the best,
Denis
