Any way to figure out what is causing a slow shutdown?

My PC, though quite a few years old, still works fine. Whilst using SSD's and sufficient RAM I can not complain about the speed.
There is 1 though: recently, maybe the last few weeks or so, I don't know, the shut down takes quite a while.
The message "Shutting down" is there for a minute, with quite some discactivity.

I have -not- done any cleanup, Usually 'cleanup tools' are clearing the browser cache and stuff. I hesitate to do so while I do like to have history available.

Any suggestions where/what to look (for)?
Are there tools that can monitor the shutdown ?

Thanks for the suggestion. Frankly, I already did that.
There is nothing special there. Before closing I do a "File>Exit"on all applications that are in use.
CPU and Memory are minimal.

Then I assumed 'something' might synchronizing with OneDrive.
The cloud button in the taskbar does not show any sync activities.

There is quite some SDD activity though.

I checked out the eventlog (attached) but can't see anything 'strange' there.

So, ultimately I come here

I was out and there were some other things to do first.

Even enabled "Display highly detailed status messages" (Gpedit.msc > Computer Configuration > Administratieve Templates > System), but not much is 'reported'.

Created a video of the shutdown, loaded it in a video editor, and it is like this:
Message
"Shutting down" ..................................... abt 45 sec
"Notifiying services that Windows is shutting down" for a split second, 0,5 sec at most:
"Emsisoft Protection Services" ............ 10 sec
"Stopping Services"...................................7 sec
"Shutting Down"........................................3-4 sec

That's it.

However, once in a while a warning shows up: NvContainerWindowClass xxxxxxxx shows up for a while.
Uninstalled NVIDIA drivers and the most important nvidia folders from C:
(after deleting registry entries and rebooting)
Shut down remained the same.
Reinstalled driver.

Probably I have to live with it...

And .. maybe 1 minute is normal?

Startup from power button to ready for use 40 sec (I have an old pc)
Shutdown 7-8 seconds.
(used a stopwatch)

Going to check which services I might disable.

For instance - I am launching Photoshop or Acrobat manually, only when needed.
But there are 6 services running. Maybe 100% okay, but I wonder why not start a service -only- when the application is started?
