Slow Cold Boot Time, Fast Reboot in SATA SSD, Is it Normal?
Hello there peeps!
Months ago, I finally switched from my 7200 RPM spinner into a Crucial MX500 SSD (both 1 TB), but since then, I noticed an interesting phenomena.
Most of the times, when making a cold boot, the system would take around 50 secs to 1:20 minutes to fully boot into desktop, but if you reboot, this reduces significantly from 35 secs to 45 secs max... maybe it's not a lot for many people, and yes, it's still shorter time compared to my HDD but... is there any reason cold boot is taking longer than a reboot? Is this normal?
The disk is new, health is 100% (with only 2.30 TB written to it) and has no signs of failure from Crystaldisk Info and Aida64, and seems is aligned properly according to previous posts of mine... If it helps, my OS was cloned into it using Acronis True Image (The tech guy used it instead of Macrium... I know, I should have done this myself... but I had no time due to job )
Cheers!
