Ok, Don't worry... Been there. A lot of times...

But Keeping on trying is a pretty good Mojo. Today I recovered 30 gigs out of 33 on a completely failed hdd... The drive was... 32 days past due as of ChrystalDiskInfo... Had 86Ks running hours and more than 10Ks dirty stops. Not bad for a Fujitsu.

I was about to ask you if you where sure of the integrity of your source.

well it worked great until about a week or 2 so I just removed last cumulative update. but I know the new iso is straight from creation tool and made 2 copies from different downloads; I would think 1 would be good.

Anybody know how to get the iso version 19044.2006, seems this is the one I need to fix my files. The one downloaded from MCT was 19041 and would not work. thanks

I think you want 21H2 at techbench 19044.1288. Any changes after that will be updates.

will give it a try but according to microsoft svc it needs to be same as OS version which currently ends in 2006.

This is what it says: The ISO must be exactly the same version as the running OS. An ISO of 10586.0 will not repair a running system of 10586.35 because it has additional updates and files......meaning I need the one ending in 2006
