WD 8tb Black WD8001FZBX-00ASY - Performance issues?

I don't know if these Crystal Disk Mark numbers are typical or not for my drive. Having issues with the system, when editing videos in Kdenlive I had to enable Proxy, one of the games I play is wonky and it was suggested that it might be due to the game being unable to update or cache some important data, and other minor things that make me wonder.

Those are typical benchmarks for such HDD drives.

You can only improve that by changing to an SSD which is of course pricey for 4 TB or 8 TB as you will know.

As for your applications/games then you will have to do some research on what caches are used and whether the location can be changed to using your SSD.

I'm using the portable version (.zip) on default settings.
Make sure you're running DiskMark64.exe

My disk... WDC WD8001FZBX-00ASYA0 (7452 GB)
