Deleting the Empty Folders with Remove Empty Directories (Admin Mode)

Hello. I have many empty folders in my computer, and I am using Remove Empty Directories (Admin Mode) to delete the empty folders. That includes the empty folders from the WinSxS folder.

The folders with the red text mean that the folders are empty and will be deleted.

The folders with the gray text mean that the folders will not be touched.

The folders with the "failed" icons mean that the folders cannot be deleted in certain conditions.

The folders with the blue text mean that the folders are protected.

So to the best of my knowledge, that could mean that deleting just the folders with the red text would be safe for my computer. Right-clicking the red text folder and then deleting the red text folder would be better for me. Is that correct?

Who says that deleting, for example, the folder path
    C:\Program files\Common files\Microsoft shared\ Click ToRun\backup
will not cause an error in your MSOffice applications?

Similarly, who says that tinkering within the WinSxS folder will not cause any problems?

I suggest that you only use your Remove Empty Directories third-party utility within your own folders [presumably within C:\Users\%UserName%].
And do that only if you establish that deleting them will bring you some benefit.

And do note that the author of Remove Empty Directories does not claim compatibility with Windows 10.

    Best of luck,
    Denis

I once used one of these utility and it corrupted my profile and broke SMB for good.

The next steps you should take are...

Click "exit" and "uninstall" that software before it breaks your installation.

When I clicked the "Delete Folders" button, Remove Empty Directories deleted some of my empty folders, but I still have over 150,000 empty folders. In my experience with Remove Empty Directories, I have no problems with Remove Empty Directories in Windows 10. Even if I did restart the computer several times, I still have no problems with Remove Empty Directories in Windows 10. So many empty folders will create the clusters in a disk drive. Even if you decided not to delete the empty folders, you could end up letting the computer load so many empty folders. If I have a million empty folders, a billion empty folders, a trillion empty folders, a quadrillion empty folders, a quintillion empty folders, or even a sextillion empty folders, it is not my problem, but it could be the problem from Microsoft. If there is a recent empty folder deleter, comparing to Remove Empty Directories, I could have used that recent empty folder deleter instead.
