    Is Glary Utilities worth it?

Just to get some opinions. I try to use Windows Storage Sense and other manual tweaks and avoid PC cleaning apps.

    This article confirms my decision:
PC Cleaning Apps are a Scam: Here’s Why (and How to Speed Up Your PC)

However, the same site also sings the praises of Malwarebytes Antivirus, which made me suspect it’s sponsored.

My only remaining doubts are about Glary Utilities, as I used it a lot and I’m a bit reticent to replace for “manual” Windows tweaks, such as:

    - Run the Disk Cleanup tool included with Windows (Storage Sense).

    - Manage Startup Programs: Settings > Apps > Startup
    - Run Windows own antivirus if needed.
    - Uninstall software you no longer use, especially programs that run at startup and browser plug-ins
    - Clear Your Web Browsing Tracks
    …etc

    Any opinions much appreciated!

    Hi.

I don't use it nor recommend it.
    Just CCleaner when used carefully.

What would you really like to do with a utility?

Glary is bunch of useful utilities as for the cleaning, it is perfectly safe, almost weak. CCleaner is considered safe, unless you use ccenhancer, the more you want to clean the more likely something goes wrong.

I always prefer my own experience over people, who review something they have only heard about.
People install a fake AV and then conclude, that all AVs are bad? That is an interesting conclusion.

The only tool I use out of all the ones mentioned is Revo Uninstaller (portable) and I only use it for Uninstalls and nothing else.
It's the best uninstaller I have used to date and having it being portable makes it that much easier.

When I last did a clean install of Win 10, the very first program I installed was Revo Pro. Then everything except drivers was installed under control of Revo. Works for me.
