This will be part of the firmware - I doubt there is an actual file - at this stage you have not started windows.

    Why do you ask?

Used to be in the days of DOS and early Windows, maybe into WinME or Win2000 it would have been using the PrntScrn key with a Parallel Port printer. The advent of later versions of Windows and USB printers changed things and basically the PrntScrn key sends the image to the Clipboard after the OS has loaded but not during the startup phase.

The content displayed by Bootmgr is loaded from BCD store files located in Boot (legacy) and EFI (UEFI) folders.

They are there to configure how the Bios / Uefi Firmware will give control to the OS. from the Bootmgr to chain Winload.exe / Winload.efi or Ntldr with boot.ini

    Wow!

Sometimes you can plug in a USB and press F12 for BIOS, wonder if this'd work the same.

Also a video capture card can sometimes take screenshots like that.
