Phantom disk usage at 100% NVME SSD WIN10

    Greetings all,

I have a Xiaomi Notebook Pro 17 inch from 2019 that has a Samsung NVME SSD model MZVLB256 SCSI Disk. For the past 2,5 years I had experienced a problem that has came and gone, which is disk usage without any write or read that transforms into a complete freeze, but sound will continue playing (e.g. youtube, but not winamp from file). The issue can persist in the safe mode.

    Specs:

    Device name DESKTOP-OO29TSB

    Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz 1.80 GHz

Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.89 GB usable)

    Device ID 179E175D-6ACB-4300-85C2-8FE4109DC68B

    Product ID 00326-10000-00000-AA094

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

    Videocard: Integrated intel/ GeForce MX150

    Edition Windows 10 Home
    Version 21H2
    Installed on ‎12/‎07/‎2021
    OS build 19044.1415
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3920.0

    What I tried:

    - Disabling any kind of MS service (Sysman, update, telemetry, defender)

    - Uninstalling and changing browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox)

    - Running check disk and others, scanning bad sectors, SMART, etc.

    - Complete system reset/restore

    -Uninstalling drivers for videocard

-Resource monitor doesn't show any processes

Here are some pictures of the issue, I can reproduce it if I stress the disk write/read by running a scan or run Rkill.exe:

    Thanks!

    Hello.

Just a shot in the dark. What driver are installed for disk access? Try using a generic NVMe driver or so.

Thanks for reply, I haven't tried that yet. What I did yesterday was opening the laptop back and changing NVME slots and running stress tests on SSD, its been nearly a day and the problem hasn't occurred yet.
