    Sfc /scannow

Is there a way to run sfc /scannow command prompt on schedule using task scheduler? Thanks.

There is no need to run SFC /scannow on a schedule. Running it once a week or once a month even will not make your computer run any better. The only reason to run this command is if Windows has missing or corrupted system files with some kind of issue. If your Windows is running great, it will just come back that No Integrity Violations were Found.

If you really want this to run on a schedule, then you can create a Batch file and run it in the Task Scheduler.
Or you can add SFC /scannow to the Right click Context menu and run it when you feel you need it.

    Hello @kwb737,

As stated by @spunk above, there is NO real benefit for running it on schedule using Task Scheduler.

It is however, a very useful visual diagnostic to see if there are ANY missing or corrupted System Files, allowing you to take the appropriate steps, which would also include running RestoreHealth [ DISM ].

    I hope this helps.

Thanks. It's funny, but my desktop has been running perfectly, but like I usually do I decided to run a sfc /scannow out of curiosity just 5 minutes ago. Low and behold it found corrupted files and repaired them. This happens not that often but more often than I would like.
