The PC has a System Reserved partition that's 50MB. Is that the UEFI partition?

I did manage to get into BIOS this time. Apparently, there is zero delay from power on (unlike every other PC I own), so I had to start pressing DEL the instant I hit power button. If I wait even 1 second, it starts booting Windows. My other PCs are UEFI and there's about 5-8 seconds of black screen before Windows shows signs of booting. This industrial PC lacks that delay.

BIOS does have a "UEFI and Legacy" option, which is selected. I could change to "UEFI only" but I recall there's a process necessary to change Windows boot loader.

But more concerning is there's no boot menu that lets me prioritize a USB drive for recovery purposes.
On my other Windows machines, I can boot to a recovery menu. There are six choices on that menu, one of which is choose image recovery. Is that missing because Windows is configured for "fast boot"?

This PC came with zero documentation. The manufacturer's website has nothing either!
0 time to press DEL, just like the link I posted said

The EFI partition will look like this: Google Image Result

Don't change BIOS to UEFI if you don't have that or the PC won't boot.

To boot from a USB you launch the boot menu. On an ASUS MB you press F8 during POST

, you did not mentioned what you're trying to achieve.
Are you trying to convert your Legacy-MBR into UEFI-GPT?

Please post a Disk Manager image so we can see what you have.

My goal presently is to make sure that the system can be booted in a recovery mode should I need to restore a system image.

EFI would be a slight security enhancement for this web server, but it's not my priority now. I do remember converting my desktop PC to UEFI some years ago, but forgot how I did it.

Pressing F8 usually invokes the Windows boot menu. But what about during POST? On the Dell server this replaced, I think it was F12 that opened the boot menu during POST. I will have to experiment with that. I could not find any BIOS options that point to what key to press. It should be possible to tell the system to boot to memory stick, or a USB DVD ROM drive with just a keyboard command during POST. But important to me is to be able to get the Windows Image Restore option during bootup.

This is a snapshot of my disc management console:

I looked at my main Windows 10 desktop computer just now and I see it has a 100MB EFI partition, but also a 549MB System Reserved partition. On the Kingdel web server, there is only a 49MB System Reserved partition as you can see above.

Kingdel is MBR/Legacy and not UEFI then.

Okay, as for your System Restore questions, System Restore is disabled by default, so turn it on, create a restore point, and check WinRE again ....... hopefully it's there ...... System Restore Windows 10

I enabled system restore, but upon shutting down with the Shift key to get to the recovery startup, I still get the same limited options. There's no system image restore option.

I also tried shutting down and then powering up and hitting F8 continuously, but it booted right to Windows--no boot selection options.

Although the server is working now, I'm concerned that if something breaks, I will not be able to go into the recovery boot mode to load the backup image.

I was doing some research and I suspect this is my problem:

I think this has to do with installing Macrium Reflect Free Ed, upon advise of someone when I could not back up windows image earlier. How can I restore this Win PE environment so I can get into recovery?
