Windows 10 ver 1909 end of service problem

So, as everyone but me knows, my Windows 10 version 1909 has reached it's end of service and will no longer allow me to update it. It has probably been going on for a while now. The problem is that no matter what I do, it will not update to the 2004, 20H2 or the 21H1 versions. I have followed everyone's different steps that they say will correct this error, but none of them are working. I have even gone in to regedit.exe to kind of "trick" windows to update to the different versions. But no such luck. My question is this: How horrible is it to not have my PC updated? I know I will lose out on a lot of the necessary security updates, but aside from that, will my PC still run? I can't even upgrade to windows 11 because my cpu is an AMD Ryzen 5 1600. Minimum is Ryzen 5 2000. Has anyone out there had the same issue that did not seem to work, then miraculously found one that did work? Please let me in on the secret. Thanks!

Hi, please complete your PC specs (compare My computers under my post). Tutorial available on specifications if needed.

Please try to answer each question in order to help people responding. Mising some just means they will likely be asked again, and this will make the process longer.

About how old is your PC?
Please advise whether Home, Pro etc.

Have you ever disabled Windows update, or chosen a target build (tutorial refers)?

How exactly are you trying to upgrade? E.g.
    - via Windows Update
    - using an iso file - and if so, from where- how did you get it?

What error message do you get?

Assuming you have tried to upgrade, and failed, please download setupdiag.exe (free from MS), run that and post the result.

Is your BIOS/UEFI fully up to date?

Do you have at least 30Gb free on C: ?

Have you tried the MS update assistant?
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...a-fba2ac36fb3f

Note that some PC configurations cannot be upgraded for various reasons, one being a Microsoft Safeguard Hold. (Tutorial refers).

Did you download the 21H1 Iso file and run it from within windows by right clicking on it and opening it with windows explorer, and then clicking on setup ?

    Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

Use the Media Creation Tool and download a Iso file for any PC.

Sorry about that Dalchina. Got side tracked.
    Answers to the questions are:

    2. Windows Pro
    3. As far as I can remember, I have not disabled Windows Update.
    4. I am trying to update through Windows Update
    5. The only messages that I was getting was that my version of Windows is at the end of service (or something similar to that)
then I was getting messages that my device is missing important security and quality fixes.
    6. I have not yet downloaded and run the setupdiag.exe file.
    7. I am in the process of trying to update the BIOS/UEFI for the motherboard
    8. I have about 650 GB of free space on C:.
    9. Yes, I have tried the MS update assistant.

Thanks. You have Pro - have you ever used a group policy to defer feature updates?

Safeguard hold: have you ever seen this?

    Hello @bimfi,

BEFORE you run it, make sure that you have .NET Framework v4.8 installed.

    I hope this helps.

I went ahead and updated/flashed the BIOS, then downloaded the 21H1 Windows 10 iso. Using the Media Creation Tool I managed to complete the update to Windows 10 ver 21H1. I want to thank everyone for their input and recommendations! You all are great!
