    Admin Maintenance correct proceedures

After performing manual monthly cu updates ,what is the preferred or recommended powershell admin proceedures.
    (1) should i perform a DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth only and > then followed by SFC /scannow >then reboot and perform a >new SFC /scannow once again .

Just being anal as my system is important to me , monthly Cu,s are installed at least one week after release date and system is backed up to both seperate internal drive as well as offline external drive.
    Many thanks current 19043-1165 . 21H1.

You do not need to do anything afterwards.

Try3 ,Dennis what im endeavoring to find out ,is should i perform a via powershell admin ,Firstly a DISM scan and then a SFC scan .
In what order ,and the correct DISM scan to perform and whether or not to reboot after SFC scan and then perform another SFC scan just to verify that all is correct ?
    Hope that makes sense.

Why do you want (need) to do either of these? Is the system faulty in some way? If so, what's it doing that is of concern?

These functions you mention are intended for specific purposes. Otherwise, if it ain't broke, don't fix it (or even try to).

If you're looking to clean out the system, then use the built-in Windows functions
    - Open File Explorer, right click on your system drive (usually C:\ drive) > Properties > Disk Clean up > tick everything > OK > Delete files (if you've never done this, it may take a few minutes)
    - when finished, it'll just return to the Properties window > Disk clean up (again) > (this time ...) Clean up system files > again, tick everything > OK > Delete files (may take even longer than the first step. Just wait)

EDIT : Before you do anything, make an image of the installation (Macrium Reflect freeware). A restorable image of a faulty system is better fall-back than an inaccessible totally borked system because of inappropriate use of system maintenance programs.

If you suspect corruption of your system then a wise precaution would be first to run DISM's RestoreHealth (which repairs the component store) then SFC ScanNow (which repairs the system, using the component store as its source). That would be the best order to do it.

However, the point Try3 is making is that the exercise is not needed, installing a cumulative update does not of itself corrupt the system.

The only routine maintenance I ever do after a CU has installed is to clean up the component store, either by running Disk Clean up's 'clean up system files', or the Dism command DISM /online /cleanup-image /StartComponentCleanup (and even that is not strictly necessary maintenance, I just like to keep the system tidy and not waste disk space).

You asked what was recommended and I answered - nothing.

    No.

If you want to waste your time then you can run SFC.
    SFC - TenForumsTutorials

If you want to waste even more time then you can run DISM.
Use DISM to Repair Windows 10 Image - TenForumsTutorials

Or you can do nothing, which is what I recommend.
