    File classification?

Does anybody know anything about file classification? Samsung Magician has a classify files button but doesn't give any details on what it does.

All it says in the Installation Guide is that Classify files was "added for more information about files type in SSD." I'm running a copy, so let's see what it does on my PC: Selected my SSD Pro 950 512 GB drive, clicked "Classify files." Took almost a minute to complete.

    Results look like this:
    File classification?-samag-cf.jpg
Information bar is hard to read, but says: Images 3 GB, Videos 367 MB, Audios 770MB, Programs 31GB, ETC 172GB
Not terribly informative. You're better off using a free disk analysis tool such as WizTree instead, IMO.

    Note:
    1. Had to "Run as administrator" to get the program to launch
    2. Running version 6.3.0 (latest version, according to Samsung Magician Software | SSD | Samsung Semiconductor)

No not informative at all. If it is a way to see what sort of files are on the drive there are much better programs!
