    System task, high cpu

    Hi,
Noted recently in Task manager the System app is on quite high cpu and power usage, making the fan going high more often than when I started using the computer a few weeks ago.

As it cannot be closed, I am not sure what to do.

Not very used to Windows 10 so I need some advice if this is a common issue or what could be the problem.

It appears to be a program called " ntoskrnl.exe ", NT Kernel & System , as far as I remember Kernel is quite vital for the system to run right?

It can be related to AHCI/SATA/NVME driver. Check controller drivers in device manager, if you use the Microsoft driver, install device specified (AMD/Intel) and vice versa. Also check for the latest chipset drivers.

Yes, I am quite positive there is a System app in the Task Manager. I have restared several times, no difference.

It goes up quite randomly. I was looking at some pictures, no high demand task, and suddenly the fan goes up like I would be playing high cpu games. No apparent reason.... its very frustrating,

Thank you, not too sure I understand what to do though. I find controller drives in Device manager, but I don't understand what to do, update drivers?

I have not installed anything specific before this started to occur. It's quite frustrating as it feels I have to reinstall the laptop from start and redo everything. It would be very time consuming and sometimes it makes me so frustrated I want to throw the laptop in the bin and just burn it up.

I am not used to Windows 10 at all. It gives me such a annoying user experience being very confusing, getting random popups and CPU issues like this.
