Black Viper’s Windows 10 Service Configurations (VERY USEFUL INFO)

Black Viper is very well known, around the word for Windows Advice and a very good friend

To continue my fine tradition of optimizing MS’s latest OS, I have here my findings to date. This information is based upon the Windows 10 desktop versions released July 29, 2015 as well as Surface 3 and Surface 3 Pro with Windows 10 installed. Before adjusting your service settings, make sure that your system has already installed all updates by “checking now” for any available updates via Windows Update. At this time, it is best for you to make sure that all services are set to the default values before updating your system.

    More Details: http://www.blackviper.com/service-co...onfigurations/

    Enjoy Everyone.

First of all my congratulations to BV. And his hard work.

After browsing that list, it seems there isn't any good reason for tinkering with services. I will leave them as they are. It seems modern Operating Systems are quite optimized "out of the box".

    Thank you,

Some will really love, BV's advice and tweaks, check out how they love it over at MDL

I am running 5 devices with BV's advice within the services and after the first boot after shutting down BV's requested services I am very wowed, windows ten is finally breathing again and bind blowing...

Save the list and you can always go back to the factory defaults for any reason and at anytime, BV's tweaks are not nasty and deep commands that for sure you could be left holding the bag.

I suggest like always to a complete back up if not sure and run a new install in VM with these great BV tweaks and then you can deside from there...

My 2 Asus Intel Core 2 Desktops love it and 1 work station, and 2 Surface Pro 3's right after the first boot and BV touched base the OS will continue to settle in for a few days and it will Rock and Roll within a week...

I've followed BV for years. As long as you don't over-indulge his tweaks without backups, he makes for a great reference point. Usually I catch up with him every time I install or upgrade to a new OS, especially if I have weirdness happening and want to know how the services SHOULD be lined up.

It all depends on your system. Some will benefit-- BV at least knows what he is doing. He has been at it for years.

You got that right on the nail, plus M$ purchased some of his ideas in 2000 for the Windows Eight future build, regarding over runs and side loading conflicts within all Windows versions, BV is priceless when it comes to windows services ( he forgot most of the stuff he really knows )

Hopefully he's back up soon. I've been following him since XP and before.

And his site has been down before. Also hoping it's just temporary.
