There are virtually no services altered, no descriptions other then default, no dependency relations.
Going to services.msc will provide you with the same amount of info like going to Viper's webpage.
10 has much more tighter connections between services than ever before and he still relies on old info.

Coming back to BV, note it's necessary to go through the service settings again after a new version as they all get set to default. It's taken me a while to wake up to this.

I would leave the services settings well alone unless you have a problem which requires you to fiddle with them. I use Autoruns to disable startup programs and third party services I don't want to run.

Depends really on the speed of the computer and the abilities of the user. My Thinkpad E335 is a bit underpowered for 10 and can use all the help it can get. Cutting out unneeded services using BV as a guide has been helpful but Autoruns would be a nono for an inexperienced user. No need for any of this on the much faster PC.

Not a believer. Site is down so I can't have a look see, but last time went there, there were lots of " I don't know what this does", "but you can turn it off anyway" Really?
IMHO, its minimal gains and a high probability that you'll break something in the process. In this day and age, with hardware what it is, why bother?

Never disable any service. If you are certain beyond any doubt that you will never use a particular service or any of it's dependent services set it to manual - that way when you find out that it was actually something that some process needed it will be started and the system should not crash, although it may slow down from what it would have been if it was left alone
