    DISM, once over...

Windows version: 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1165)

In this thread, the issue with DISM just recently had been resolved.

The system had a BSOD today due to "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, according to the BlueScreenView app. The actual BSOD screen stated something about critical system files, but it had not been recorded.

Running the commands of "scf and dism..." gave some interesting results:

    DISM, once over...-check-vs.-scan.png

The "/CheckHealth and /ScanHealth" disagree on the status of the component store; shouldn't they be the same?

Running the the DISM command with "/RestoreHealth" option finishes normally. After reboot, checked the component store again with "/CheckHealth and /ScanHealth". The results were the same as in the image above.

What is the reason for the difference and how can it be remediated?

    TIA...

I must be on a bad moment
They do not appear to disagree as far as I can see
Check Health reports no component store corruption detected

Scan Health reports NO component Store corruption detected

Please explain by typing rather than simply referring me back to the screenshot - what the disagreement is

If you refer to the fact that Scan Health shows the progress bar and check health does not that is standard

Please see the screens for those cmds as here

I must be confused, too. It all looks good, and shows no problems, as far as my eyeballs can tell me.
    Sorry for your troubles,

    Hello @Cr00zng,

ALL the processes completed successfully with NO ERRORS.

    I hope this helps.

    @Cr00zng

I see that they agree as well.
Maybe, run this command from an elevated command prompt...

    Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore

You guys are correct, I was either confused or had a bad moment and overlooked the "No" part for the ".../CheckHealth" command result.

Reminds me of turning at the red light, where the sign stated "No turn on red"; yes, I did take the turn...

    Cheers
Anyone can make such a mistake
I mean missing the - No

Main thing is all appears in order]
However just to be sure was it run for a particular reason

Usually memory management is a driver issue
but can occasionally be memory - ram itself.
Do you need further help with that issue.

Windows memory test gives this result:

The Windows Memory Diagnostic tested the computer's memory and detected no errors
Generally, the BSOD happens monthly or bimonthly with the same error code 41, that could be a number of things:

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

After the BSOD, the system powers on just fine and runs for a month or two without issues. As long as it does so, I am fine with that. If it becomes a daily occurrence, I'll just build a new system...
