My PC has two drives a C (240GB) and D (2TB). I tried to set up the PC so that the C drive only contained Windows and applications and the D Drive only contained data. I obviously did not configure this correctly as my C Drive is reporting 3.15 GB Free of 237GB. I had a WD NAS set up to auto backup my PC and think that may be one of the causes.

I purchased a 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD to replace the 240G NVMe M.2 SSD and was wondering what the best method would be to update my system.

To complicate things, I was on the Windows Insider Program and have W11 (10.0.22000.132) (KB5005190) installed. Typically I would find any files I wanted on the C Drive, moved them over to the D Drive, where I wanted them in the first place and then do a fresh install of Windows. Then ask some more questions to ensure I have properly set up my system so all data (Documents, Downloads, etc) are stored on D.

Is this the best way to proceed? I believe there is a way to backup with OneDrive and then restore that I don't quite trust. But if that is the best option, I would like to know.

Thank You
