Power Setting randomly switches from Balanced to High Performance

So I upgraded to W10 last week and came along this problem. Every time i use my laptop it randomly switches its power setting by itself from balanced to high performance like once every hour. When it does that it also shows the start menu. I was baffled at first. My balanced brightness is set to 50% when running on batteries but after a few moments it starts to change to 100% brightness and realized it has already changed to High Performance. The same thing happens when i plug my pc in.

I have to set it back manually to Balanced every now and then and its really annoying, especially when the start menu pops up while i am using programs and playing games. Also, when i turn off the display for an overnight download, it turns on by itself anytime during the night when it changes power setting... waking me up. If anyone could help...

I am having the same problems. Only my mouse pad settings are changed every time I power down my laptop. My brightness setting will say that I am at 100% but the brightness is as dim as it gets. So when I slide the bar to 0% brightness the actual brightness of my laptop goes to 100%. A lot of my settings are reset every time I turn off my laptop. Also, since I have updated to Windows 10 when I plug in my laptop half of the time my screen goes black. And while plugged in if I go longer than 5 minutes without doing anything on my laptop it freezes. That just started today. It is very frustrating to say the least.

It sucks, but it does happen. We are all humans here and sometimes things get by us. I doubt anyone here lets a thread like this go because they outright refuse to help. Its much more likely that no one at the time knew of any solution to the problem and instead of just simply saying "I dont know" and not adding any info they just waited for someone else more knowledgeable to come along and they simply never did.

I thought it might have been deliberately ignored. Sorry.
