Focus assist on on desktop??
So the last couple of days when I log into Windows where there is nothing but the desktop Focus assist is in alarms only mode. Why would the desktop be triggering alarms only mode?

- this seems unclear to me- do you mean your desktop is blank except for a focus assist alarm notification?where there is nothing but the desktop Focus assist is in alarms only mode.
'nothing but...'
Have you reviewed these settings?
If you read this (very slightly dated guide) you might find some more hints.
How to Use Focus Assist (Do Not Disturb Mode) on Windows 10
It appears that Focus Assist thinks my desktop is a full screen app. What I meant was, if I am on the desktop with nothing else on the screen, Focus Assist switches to alarms only. As soon as bring the Chrome browser up onto the desktop in switches to Focus Assist - Off. Toggling "When I'm using an app in full screen mode" to off in settings stops the desktop from triggering alarms only mode.
I don't understand why it is seeing the desktop as a "full screen app". Can you replicate this?
I've figured out it's the GeForce Experience In-Game Overlay. This is active on the desktop and Windows must be detecting it as a full screen app putting focus assist into alarms only mode. Perhaps I need to exclude the desktop from the overlay. I will try.
