Autologin shows login screen in passing

There's my faster computer and there's my slightly slower one. Both are set to auto-login. Strangely enough, during boot-up on the faster one, I see all four of the icons on my old sign-in screen long enough to count them, while on the slower comp, I don't even get a glimmer of that sign-in screen in passing.

Anyone have an explanation to offer for this, and maybe, just maybe, a remedy?

    Pro 20H2 both.

    Hello @Wisewiz,

[1] Has one got Fast Startup Enabled and the other NOT? . . .

[2] If you made ANY REG Tweaks, have BOTH the computers had them applied the SAME?

    I hope this helps.

Nope, neither. Both their startups are faster than a good sip of coffee without using that setting.

Wellsir, there's the rub, I guess. There are many, many registry tweaks on them, and I try to remember to do both when I do one, but an old man's memory being what it is, I'm sure I've slipped a number of times and just haven't noticed during my occasional uses of PC#2 that it's not doing exactly what PC#1 is.

Thank you very much for reading and replying to my query, Paul.

I used to perform my Customisations Pre-Installation [ Customised ISO ]. Recently though, I perform my Customisations Post-Installation using CMD, BAT, PS1, & REG Files. The way I do it [ I know it does NOT help you at the moment ], is I have setup a Folder on the Root of C:\ with ALL the Customisation Files inside. Then if a WU or Upgrade changes things, I can very quickly reinstate my Customisations. Actually, they are on a USB, because then I only have ONE Folder to update, and then I copy them to the necessary computer[s] and run them.

I just thought that this method might help you in the future if you so wished.
