    Slow boot

My Windows 10 (20H2) boot time has become super slow. It is taking over a minute to get pass the Windows splash. I think it started happening a while back after a a big Windows update. My hardware is pretty old but it used to only take seconds. My Windows installation is on a SSD drive and everything works fine aside from the slow boot up. I've already tried the solutions you can Google. I also recorded a performance log of the boot but nothing leaps out of me.

Replace the drive and do a clean install!

RJARRRPCGP, a clean install is an efficient but too drastic solution.

    Lets do the basic.
    - Open device manager. Is there any yellow alerts of missing drivers?
    - Open a CMD window as administrator and type:
    chkdsk c: /f
It will say your disk is in use and if you want to schedule to next start = yes
    Restart
Back to Windows, open a CMD window as administrator and type:
    sfc /scannow
If it finds any issue (fixing or not fixing), restart and run again,
    Then run:
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    and
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    Please report

Is "Reset this PC" in recovery the same thing as a clean install? I am not buying a new drive. Everything is pretty fast except for the boot up.

I ran through most of this already before but did it again just now. This boots up slow unfortunately. I have no missing drivers.

First, I suggest that you get an fresh ISO file and get a USB stick. Then use Rufus. Then if you know how to get into the recovery tools from booting the same USB stick, then use
    Code:
    diskpart
    and type
    Code:
    select disk (number of drive)
then for what is your PC drive, select that drive and then type
    Code:
    clean all
Then when that's done after a good while, exit diskpart by typing
    Code:
    exit
and then reboot off the USB stick again.

    - To build a Win 10 installation USB drive you don't need Rufus.
    - You forgot to instruct OP to save his files on an external drive as if you do a Diskpart - clean or clean all it will erase all partitions on the drive.

    - Reset this PC" in recovery is NOT the same thing as a clean install.
-Task Manager startup tab is not the notification icons.
On the search box type: Task Manager and run it. You will see the Startup tab

Open Task Manager in Windows 10

I will try a clean install but probably not today.

I have everything disabled in the startup except for "Windows Security notification icon"

I also suggest getting another USB stick in addition to the one for 21H1, for backing up your personal files.
