    Best cleanup app

Is there a better general freeware cleanup tool, before shutting down, than Glary Utilites?

I use the Glary "Scan for issues" option.

Followed by "Clean event viewer" desktop exe.

    Thanks for the input dalchina.

Here are some screen shots of the options available in Glary. I mainly use the 2nd picture option, "Click maintenance", before shutting down, with the most common options ticked. There is also an option to tick, so that cleans up as it goes along.

I've never had any registry corruption, or lost/corrupted files.

Unfortunately, Glarys Utilities does NOT have CMD Line Support, unlike CCleaner and some others do. If it did, you could set it up to run at Shutdown or at a certain Time for example using a Batch Script or a Task.

I have and use BOTH of the above mentioned ONCE a week [ Friday ].

    I hope this helps.

Thanks for the input Paul Black. And I agree, it is a pity Glary does not include CMD line support.

It does have an "automatic maintenance" option under Overview. But it is only available in the retail pro version.

Even so, I'm probably a bit obsessive - compulsive, as I run the maintenance every time I shut down my PC. As well as the "Clear event viewer", which is a desktop exe file. Plus I regularly run "SFC /scannow cmd" as adminiistrator.

You are VERY welcome. There was talk of them making this option available, but as far as I know, because funny enough, I looked at this a couple of weeks ago, they have NOT as yet.

I only use the FREE version like yourself.

I know how that feels. I am a life time sufferer myself. It's a Gift AND a Curse [ more the LATTER ].

I perform this once a week on Friday as I have mentioned, and I use the computer ALL day EVERY day, and I have NOT had ANY problems. The reason I do it like this is because it does NOT have such a big impact on the Disk with regard to Read / Write [ and running ANY other Cleaning Software ] etc, depending on what you are running.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks Paul for the input.

it痴 nice to know I知 not the only OCD sufferer. You summed it up perfectly when you said more of a curse than a gift. Sometimes I知 my own worst enemy. Would you believe I actually weigh my 2 boxes of tissues, to make sure I知 using equal amounts from both boxes!

Mustang, have you used Shortcuts Fixer? Exactly how does that fix shortcuts?

Yes, I do. People do NOT understand, but it is something you get used to as the years pass by!

I turn off PC with Wise Cleaner plus a manual browser cleanup. Once a while a regular cleanup,
    Code:
