You don't need the HP Recover partition any more. It is outdated, useless.

You can certainly do that with an application like Macrium Reflect.

In my opinion, that method would be more complex and time consuming than simply extending F with one of the tools mentioned.

Either would work.

1. Install the program
2. Delete the System, the G: and the HP Recovery partitions.
3. Then in EaseUS, just right click on the F: partition and choose: Resize
4. Resize to the left, and click apply, etc. then do it again to the right.

Or you can do both at once, left and right.

Are you sure about deleting the HP recovery as well ? what if my SSD crashes one day, will there be a way to recover to factory settings with new SSD? I dont want to lose my official windows operating system that came out of the box... or how does it work?

Even if it worked, the HP recovery partition would return you to "factory specs".......Windows 7 I assume. Who wants that?

You've already lost "the official operating system that came out of the box".......that was Windows 7.

You are way past the warranty and on your own. HP has no influence nor should it.

Once you get your immediate situation settled....tomorrow or in a few days, you can use Macrium Reflect to make an image of ALL partitions on the SSD. That would enable you to return to the state as of the moment the image was made.

There is a free version and a paid version.

Also...you can lose your Windows license. It is tied to your computer.
Let's say your SSD dies. You can just get another SSD, install Windows on it, and it will automatically activate.

I've been using backup software for about 16-17 years, and it's never let me down. It will take a while, but once you start "thinking" in backup software, you'll be amazed at what it can do.

I assume Macrium will create a back up file that will be huge and I would have to keep it on my external drive? How much space would it take ?
