    Disc cleanup

When I perform "Cleanup system files" on "disc cleanup" "windows update cleanup" won't cleanup. I have 55.0 MB and it never cleans those files. Can someone help me? Thanks.

55.0MB is common and could be unneeded Adobe Flash updates:

Cannot delete files via Disk clean-up from fresh win10 install

Yes, old Flash player updates are the most common cause of this.

When I click on uninstalling anything that has to do with the slash player, nothing happens.

I thought Adobe Flash Player was no longer supported and should not show as being installed. I understood recent Windows updated caused it to be uninstalled? I know that happened in my case.

I fixed it!! I went into my hard drive Local Disc (C:) and typed in the word "Flash" in the search bar. Every item that was found that was associated with Adobe Flash I used IObit Unlocker to unlock and delete them all one at a time. No more "Update cleanup"!!

Yes, the 'Update for removal of Flash Player' did exactly what it said on the tin, removed all Flash Player functionality from Windows 10. The one thing it doesn't do is go back in time and remove all previous Flash Player updates. One or more may still be listed in Control Panel under 'installed updates'. Those provide no functionality any more and can be uninstalled manually from within control panel.

I have no Uninstall button when I click that last Adobe Flash update in Installed Updates. How can I dump the thing?

One of my machines had three flash updates listed, only two of which had the 'uninstall' option available. That was a couple of month ago, today it no longer appears in the list of installed updates. Whether a subsequent CU has removed it, or my routine use of disk clean-up to clean up system files, I cannot say. I only know it has gone (at last).
