I am at 90% memory usage, but cannot find the reason why.

Hey guys! I am currently using Windows 10, My memory usage is fluctuating between 85%-95%, and I cannot seem to find out the reason why. I downloaded RamMap to see what my Nonpaged Pool was at, and it is sitting at 4,851,008 K. This is definitely what is causing the issue. I then downloaded Process Explorer to see if I can see what is taking up all of the Nonpaged Pool, and Nothing in there is using anywhere close to as much memory as being described. I could really use some help!

Here are some photos for reference.

From what I just read, non-paged pool memory is the part of the memory that is being used by drivers and system components. The article seems to suggest that this is most comonly caused by the network driver. Have you restarted the computer when this started happening to see if that helped? Otherwise, download Snail Driver to help update any outdated drivers.

I have restarted my computer, but I do not remember seeing a difference. I just got off of a chat with a Windows Support agent, and we are using Windows Media Creation Tool to upgrade my PC. If this does not fix it, I will try getting Snail Driver to see if I have any outdated drivers :)

    Welcome to Ten Forums.

I count some 50-60 Chrome processes in your screenshots. Just how many tabs do you have open? I can push my memory usage up to 90% by opening some 35 tabs in Firefox....

...but that quickly drops to a more normal 66% if I close all bar one of the tabs....

....and down to 50% if I close Firefox.

I only have 4 tabs open, as I'm finishing some work.

4gig is going to have issues with modern OS’s like Windows 10. You really need a minimum of 8gig. Chrome will use more processes depending on what you are doing. Chrome has its own Task Manager and other tools built inti it.

If after using Snail you still have problems, try the fixes here.

It would help if you were to update your system specs. It would give us a bit more to work with in trying to help you.

Specifically, how much RAM is in your computer? From what I see, it would seem to be 8GB, but I cant be certain.
