Why is Defrag Trying to Trim a Hard Drive  

I keep getting the error below that the hard drives in my desktop PC cannot be trimmed. The disks are recognised as hard drives and are being defragged on schedule. What's going on and is there a way of resetting defrag to stop this behaviour?

See enclosed. The Maxtor drive is an elderly HDD, the Seagate Expansion is an external HDD connected via USB 3.0 and Device ID 5 is a virtual drive on a SSD configured by MS Flight Simulator.

Is it possible to disable the default task and create a custom task of running the following command?

Optimize-Volume -DriveLetter E -Analyze -Verbose

Those are also the defrag settings on my Dell laptop. I'm tempted to modify the default defrag task on my desktop PC to the standard settings as reported. I can't work out from the task definition how the task is scheduled.
