I was just looking at the read/write statistics. What should I get then?
    My way of thinking:
    - Don't buy high tech products you won't use right now. On a close future there will be a better one and more cheap

    - A SSD only makes a huge difference to store the OS and programs. For them you don't need a big SSD. My M.2 SSD is 128G and has Windows and Linux and it still has 30G free space.
    - As you have a desktop you can have multiple drives. Buy a small SSD for windows and programs and use the HDD for your data.

This is the one I would buy:
    Crucial P5 500GB 3D NAND NVMe Internal SSD - Newegg.com
    Team Group MP34 M.2 2280 512GB Internal SSD - Newegg.com

It is well recommended by the users and only cost US$64

I think it is the construction of the disk. A lot of programs claim it is an ssd. Unusually high data density, 2tb on one platter and consequently low power draw. I havent seen documentataion on how this disk is put together.
The Barracuda St2000dm008-2fr102 has a Advanced Format (AF)
That is not a conventional 512, 520, or 528 bytes per sector as it has 4096 bytes per sector.
This AF allow you to have MBR drives bigger than 2.2G. It has a special hardware to convert the AF.
