Slowly Losing Driver Space on WINDOWS 10

Recently I've been slowly losing disc space on my WIN-10 C drive and I can't find a reason why. The last time I checked which was about 2 days ago, I had 38/237 GB, but now it's 17.4 and slowly going down 17.3, 17.2, 17.1, etc. I've tried removing apps/folders that are no longer in use but I'm still slowly losing space.

    See thin TF's tutorial:
Free Up Drive Space in Windows 10

Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:

    cleanmgr /sageset:1

Choose the items to be deleted.

Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:

    cleanmgr /sagerun:1

    The cleanup will start.

Hi, typical things that might progressively take space like that could be .wer, .log, .dmp or perhaps .tmp files.
Others have sometimes reported issues related to System restore.

.dmp files can be large, and if a particular program keeps crashing, perhaps silently, these can be in a folder not normally cleaned.

As Freebooter says Treesize could help- I like Wiztree, free, updates periodically offered.

Here you can immediately see dmp files created by an annoying crash my Family Tree program is subject to when deleting entries in a certain way:

    - and diagonally down, left some tmp files.

You can try a fast indexing search tool such as Locate32 or the popular but more resource hungry Everything to find files over a certain size newer than a certain date. This might show you what's progressively taking space.

    Hi experts,

I have a similar issue with running out of Drive space on my boot drive which is a 250GB SSD. I've sussed out the issue affecting me is my roaming profile which is taking up nearly 120GB. I'm not on a network, it's a single home PC and my understanding of profiles is the Roaming profile is for users on a network if they log in to any PC on the network then they get their full profile. As I'm on a single PC is there a way to setup the PC to use the Local profile only which is about 30GB drive space ?

I've sussed what my issue is / was. I analysed the Roaming Profile folder and found that nearly 100 GB of the space it was consuming was filled with image files. Not my files either, no idea where they came from or how they got there. Safely deleted and I now have over 100GB free space on the boot drive. It was getting so crammed full Windows Update stopped running as it had nowhere to download to...

Some additional ideas to find stuff not covered by Disk Cleaner:

    1. Use Driver Store Explores to delete old driver packages. Select old drivers and delete them. DriverStore Explorer 0.11.64 Download | TechSpot
    2. Use Wise Disk Cleaner Wise Disk Cleaner - Free Disk Cleanup and Defrag Tool
    3. Delete the contents of LCU folder at C:\Windows\servicing\LCU How to clean files in C:\Windows\servicing\LCU
    4. In an admin command prompt run Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
