    Is There Anything that Can Be Done to Minimize the DriverStore?


    Hi all


    Since it seems I have reached the limit of what can be done to minimize WinSxS
    ( How to Reduce the Size of the C:\Windows\WinSxS\ Folder? )

    The next folder which looks exaggeratedly big, is C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\

    Is There Anything that Can Be Done to Minimize the DriverStore?-driverstore.png


    Can anything be done do reduce it from 2.65GB?

    DriverStore Explorer: manage the Windows Driver Store - gHacks Tech News

    Microsoft recommends not fooling around with driver packages in the Windows Driver Store as it may cause all kinds of issues on machines running Windows. DriverStore Explorer blocks the removal of loaded driver packages by default, but you can check the "force deletion" option to override this behavior.
