    Disconnect everything from your PC except keyboard, mouse, display if required to debug this issue. What is BIOS fast boot setting? How about "UEFI only" vs other options in BIOS - try UEFI only if currently not that way.

    and no, I have an old MB, no BIOS support anymore

    @steve108, my bios is on UEFI already... and the culprit is the D drive and only that...
    but it happened after the 20H2 update and only after that...

    exactly, Windows 10 version 2004, worked perfect... the system loaded in 20 seconds... with all drives!

    I'm still using 2004, but don't recall seeing any widespread issues like you're experiencing with 20H2. Something about your D: drive - interesting.

    Personally, I'd restore my latest system image of Version 2004 just to check if the update happened to coincide with the D disk cable going wrong.

    I think the chances are remote but doing this would confirm or eliminate the possibility.

    I would refrain from restoring to an older image, because it would overwrite many changes I made to the system...
    does the WPR record says anything useful?

    Then you would later just restore back from your new 20H2 image (which you should make now if you don't have one) and be back to square 1 where you are now after testing your 2004 image.
