No & yes - Sleep issues have arisen many times previously, but not due to this bug, afaik. But this particular cause has (to my knowledge) 'happened twice' - meaning that for some period (days or weeks), until I did something, the PC would not sleep. A few days ago the issue recurred, so I ran the override again yesterday.

I would welcome a 'better' solution - preferably one that did not result in the same sleep issue only a few weeks or months later.
My crystal ball can't predict the future, so you try things and see what happens and can always revert to override.

If you want to try to debug this with me, undo the override, manually check for and let any WU updates install, reboot, and tell me the output of "powercfg /requests" before you start any of your own apps manually.

OK: override deleted, checked for updates: none
    rebooted
    checked for overrides: none
    checked for requests: none
    checked for updates again: none

Just to be clear, this is the output from powercfg:

    Code:
    PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> powercfg /requestsoverride
    [SERVICE]
    [PROCESS]
    [DRIVER]
    PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> powercfg /requests
    DISPLAY:
    None.
    SYSTEM:
    None.
    AWAYMODE:
    None.
    EXECUTION:
    None.
    PERFBOOST:
    None.
    ACTIVELOCKSCREEN:
    None.
So now we wait and see what happens...

I miss getting MoUsoCoreWorker.exe once in a while. At least it's easy to deal with. I haven't figured out how to deal with this preventing sleep:
    Code:
    DISPLAY:
    None.
    SYSTEM:
    None.
    AWAYMODE:
    None.
    EXECUTION:
    [SERVICE] \Device\HarddiskVolume3\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\Schedule2\schedul2.exe (AcrSch2Svc)
    Acronis Scheduler2 Service
    PERFBOOST:
    None.
    ACTIVELOCKSCREEN:
    None.

If you get MoUsoCoreWorker preventing sleep, it might be interesting to let the PC sit for say an hour untouched and see if it eventually goes to sleep. I'll have to try the same myself if it happens on one of my own PCs.

Have you looked at Acronis, or changed the Scheduled Time to be within the hours that you are actually using the computer?

    I hope this helps.

I suppose the backup schedule is permanently forcing the PC to not sleep and you have to override it in this case - and maybe create a Task Scheduler to wake up the PC once a day or whatever you decide for the backup to be able to do its work. I don't use a scheduled backup, so maybe someone else can share their experience with that.

    @MisterEd ,

Does the Acronis output in powercfg ever go away and let the PC go to sleep? As in maybe the output you captured was while it was making a backup?

    @Gusgf,
Would you prefer we open an new thread for these other discussion, or is it okay to keep using yours/this one?

Thanks but I have already participated in another thread in these forums regarding this problem. I have found no solution here, on Acronis's own forums, or with Acronis support.

I only mentioned this to emphasize that MoUsoCoreWorker.exe preventing sleep was only a minor annoyance to me since it only happened a few times a year. I have to content with Acronis preventing sleep every day.

On this subject of sleep, there are times when I want my PC to sleep immediately because I know I won't be using it before the sleep timer expires, so rather then the Ctlr-Alt-Del .....click mouse route or other multiple click routes, I just created a taskbar shortcut to manually run the command line sleep command. Also assigned one of my programmable keyboard buttons to do the same. Of course I wouldn't use these methods if I can sense the PC is doing an update, defrag, etc.

    MisterEd,

Wouldn't the syntax for that be either
    Code:
    powercfg /requestsoverride process "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\Schedule2\schedul2.exe" execution
    or
    Code:
powercfg /requestsoverride process "Acronis Scheduler2 Service" execution
    - I cannot find any documentation to confirm this but I suspect that, in Windows 10, EXECUTION in that command could be replaced by SYSTEM

I do not get any Acronis entries in mine but I always have both Acronis items disabled in Task mgr, Startup because I do not want it to image automatically.

    What commands have you tried?

What overrides do you have in place i.e. what response do you get to
    Code:
    powercfg /requestsoverride
