Does anyone still use tune up utilities like CCleaner?

@Callender winapp2ool.exe, where do I grab a copy of this file? I have done your other great ideas already in both laptops, I just need to do this last winapp2ool.exe step with your copy of winapp2ool.exe.

The problem with storage sense is that it has no control over the cache/cookies of any 3rd-party browser such as Chrome or Firefox. It only knows how to clean the MS-supplied browsers, IE and Edge.

So many users, mostly non-technical, seem to equate cleaning of various leftovers with tuning the system. It's exactly what the Snake Oil peddlers of the world relish in. Hence the titling of this thread. Personally, I don't see how emptying the ashtray increases the horsepower of a car or gives it less exhaust emissions.

Some people like to keep their car clean, even though it has zero effect on car's performance, it improves mood of the driver and thus the overall quality of driving. Cleaning utilities have the same soothing effect.

Well aware of that. Another aspect the Snake Oil Guys thrive on.

For me it's just getting rid of junk files that are not needed. Nothing to do with tuning system.

Callender, I need your help, my Chrome is not smart to download winapp2.ini -- it keeps on displaying the long long file but giving me no way to download it. Do you have a copy that you could email me?
