Process SeAccessCheckWithHint+0x1c620 causing high CPU usage

My machine works fine but then at some point the fans just start humming loudly (high CPU). Process Explorer shows that the SeAccessCheckWithHint+0x1c620 thread is taking up 30%+ of CPU usage.

The above link shows a snapshot of my ProcessViewer - no idea what SeAccessCheckWithHint+0x1c620 is!
Can anyone help figure out what this process is? My only solution to this is to reboot as the computer slows down due to the high CPU.

    Hello,

I have the same problem here.
After a few minutes of idling, the "System" process uses around 17% of the CPU.
Sysinternals Process Explorer says it is the thread "ntoskrnl.exe!SeAccessCheckWithHint+0x1c620".

It mostly stops immediately when a key is pressed or the mouse is moved.

System: Desktop with pretty clean Win10 20H2 and only Defender as AV.
Does anyone have any idea what this might be?

    Thanks and greetings,
    Martin
