    Depending on your disk setup you mày have to do a clean install I assume you have a gpt disk and uefi boot partition. A screenshot from disk management would help

    A clean install of Windows 10 would never be required, although a backup image and restore would be.

    @2osLoga,

    You would need to backup your C: drive partition to a second disk. Convert the original disk to MBR, then either create a new system reserved partition on it to boot from and restore the C: drive partition to the MBR disk, or restore the C: drive partition to the MBR disk and then make the C: drive partition also the system partition.

    If you have nothing really installed on your Windows now, a clean install would be easier.

    If you are talking about just data files, yes you can. Backup data files to Onedrive. Clean install Windows 10. Reinstall all your apps/programs. Reconnect to Onedrive and resync if you need to move data files back. Just make sure to boot the computer in legacy BIOS (CSM) mode from the Windows 10 installation USB flash drive because Windows will install in the same mode the USB flash drive was booted in.

    This may be another option:

    1) Create a Windows.old
    2) Backup drivers
    3) Change the BIOS from UEFI to Legacy
    4) Clean install Windows 10 20H2
    5) Restore drivers
    6) Install applications
    7) Restore Windows.old
