    How to close event viewer when not displayed in task manager?

    When troubleshooting threads I've scanned multiple event viewers that have not closed.
    The first one didn't close.
    Four additional event viewers were scanned.
    Now there are five open.

    In task manager they were not seen looking under letter e.

    Process explorer was launched and again they were not seen under letter e.

    The Windows version is 1809.

    Without a reboot is there another Microsoft application (systernals) that can be launched to view the five open event viewers and close them?

    How do you do that?

    - the process is mmc.exe

    You can discover such things using e.g. Winspy
    Download WinSpy++ 1.7
    or a utility provided with Autohotkey.

    Presumably rt click titlebar or taskbar, click Close had no effect either.

    Found it under m: Microsoft Management Console

    Task manager suspended each then they closed.

    Thank you
