Slow booting up - Windows stuck on black screen for several seconds
Hello everyone!
I'm facing a problem with my Asus S400C running Windows 10 (currently v. 20H2).
I'll describe the whole situation from the beggining.
Almost two years ago, I upgraded my notebook by installing a new SSD. I performed a clean installation of Windows 10 Home. Everything had been ultra-fast, untill some update ruined everything (march-may 2020). From that time, my laptop is booting up very slowly. After loading screen with Windows 10 logo, and before login screen, Windows is stuck at black screen with no cursor. That screen lasts for over 30 seconds.
What I have done so far:
- clean installation of Windows 10 (yesterday) - problem was solved maybe during first boot
- safe boot - no change
- disable all services except these from Microsoft and then restart - no change
- disable windows error reporting service - no change
ntbtlog shows that there are some drivers that are not loaded during boot:
BOOTLOG_NOT_LOADED \SystemRoot\System32\drivers\dxgkrnl.sys (several times)
BOOTLOG_NOT_LOADED \SystemRoot\System32\drivers\CAD.sys
BOOTLOG_NOT_LOADED \SystemRoot\System32\DRIVERS\NDProxy.sys (few times)
BOOTLOG_NOT_LOADED \SystemRoot\system32\drivers\wd\WdFilter.sys
Maybe my problem is somehow connected with these drivers?
I'm exhausted. My notebook is booting up longer than when I had HDD.
Any ideas?
